From the largest to the smallest.
I have just gotten back from spending several weeks in Kansas City, Missouri. During my time there I had wonderful fellowship with great friends who are involved in the International House of Prayer - KC. My stay there was really great and I have quite a number of testimonies to tell, some I may share in the future. It truly amazes me to see what God is doing around the nation, and around my relationships.
The thing that amazes me the most after this trip is seeing Gods faithfulness to meet His people when ever two or more gathered (Matthew 18:20), He will meet them there. I truly saw this happen with me and my friends. Whether in a small living room, or in a large auditorium, the was never unfaithful to show up when I came with a humble heart ready for worship.
Been awhile, a season of change.
It has been a really LONG time since I have blogged. I have been really busy the last couple months, have had a lot happen, a lot of good. And I didn't know how to solidify it into writing. The Lord has really been moving here in Salisbury, NC. I have seen many hearts set free and lives changed over the last couple of months. God is bringing about transition, through a refining process. He is calling us out of complacency and compromise, and into the plan and calling He has for us. I have seen the line drawn been righteousness and unrighteousness by the Lord, and Gods people respond in a way that pleases His heart. God is truly bringing about a season of transition and change here.
Around six months ago, the Lord started speaking to me about a season of change coming. It's crazy when you see the word of the Lord come to pass, especially in a really personal way that affects you. A began to feel that the relationships that I had, and the people that I had fellowship with on a regular basic would be changing, and that six months later it would look totally different. And I have to say, they do. The relationships that I have and the people I am encouraging and receiving encouragement from on a regular basis is drastically different than six months ago. It's crazy! The Lord has strengthened existing relationships, and brought new ones. I am really excited about what the Lord has been doing in the circle of people He has raised up around me. It's so exciting to see the moving of His Spirit.
Out of this season I really learned a lot about the relationship we have with Jesus, and how to follow him. When He Started speaking to me about this change several months ago, and I didn't try and change anything, it just happened. I just rested, tried to follow and abide in His spirit. And the word of the Lord came to pass. So I charge you. Abide. Rest. And follow the Lamb, wherever He goes. It will be the most exciting life experience ever.
Revive/Redesign/Relaunch
Welcome to the new site design! Watching And Waiting has gotten a fresh new design, and a new system. I have moved it from running on WordPress to Drupal. I have been really wanting to redesign the site, so I thought I would go ahead and move it to my favorite Content Management System while I was at it, which happens to be Drupal.
Unfortunately, I have really neglected blogging a lot lately, haven't felt very inspired to write. It is amazing how easily we can get caught up in the business of life, and neglect other areas. Lately I have found myself less consumed in the bible as I have been in the past, and this has led less inspiration to share with others in writing. I am in the midst of a time of trying to refocus my lifestyle, to one that is less centered around trivial tasks, and more centered around prayer and His word. Hope to be blogging more frequently in the near future.
Here is something I have been meditating on a lot:
1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers. Psalm 1:1-3
